High Adventure

2022: Mark Twain National Forest

The Troop is planning a trip to the Mark Twain National Forest area of southern Missouri in July of 2022. Ask any Scout who's been on a high adventure trip and you'll hear stories of all kinds of adventures from zip lining to island camping to whitewater rafting! This trek will take us to Johnson's Shut-Ins, The Mine at Bonne Terre, Elephant Rock State Park, Meremac Caverns, and the Current River!  There will be hiking, exploring, camping, rafting, and some of the darkest night sky you can find.  This trip is suited for ALL SCOUTS of any age and ability.

Parents are always welcome and encouraged to participate in our outings. This trip is a great opportunity for you to share great experiences with your Scout.

Cost: Approximately $200

The Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) is a 1M acre wilderness area within the Superior National Forest in northeastern part of Minnesota. A mixture of forests, glacial lakes, and streams, the BWCA is a popular destination for canoeing, hiking, and fishing, and is one of the most visited wildernesses in the United States.
